Hurentour – Das Original - Geschichte der Prostitution lebendig und spannend erleben

Hurentour – Das Original is a tour through St. Pauli that starts Vor der Davidwache, Spielbudenplatz 31, in Hamburg on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at 20:00. Tickets start at EUR 34.50, and a discount is available. The tour covers the history and present of prostitution in the red-light district around the Reeperbahn, led by an experienced guide. It traces the development of sex work from the temples of ancient Babylon to the way brothels are organised in St. Pauli today. It also looks at the social, cultural and economic sides of the trade. For the sake of residents and the privacy of the prostitutes, the tour does not walk through the Herbertstraße but covers the street from a historical and cultural angle. Stops named for the tour include Davidstraße, the Davidwache, Hans-Albers-Platz and, depending on visitor numbers, Große Freiheit. The guides wear red vests marked "Historische Hurentour" rather than historical costume. The price includes a certified guide, stories and historical photos. Drinks, tips and interior visits are not included.
