GBTi+ Men's Group: Collective Reflection Space

The GBTi+ Men's Group is a collective reflection space organized by the Centre Plural and the Centre LGTBI of Barcelona. It brings together gay, bisexual, trans*, intersex, and other dissident men to share personal experiences and reflect on masculine socialization, affective-sexual relationships, violence, and self-care. The goal is to foster healthier, fairer, and more conscious ways of being a man within the GBTi+ community.

Over twelve two-hour sessions, participants engage in group dynamics facilitated by two professionals, Hèctor González Quiles and Isaac Navarro Madroño, who use participatory and collaborative methodologies. The space is designed to be welcoming and safe, where each person can express themselves freely. The facilitators adopt an active but horizontal role, promoting the protagonism of group members and contributing their professional and lived experience as GBTi+ men when needed.

This is an invitation-only event, and participants must commit to attending most sessions, be able to express themselves in Catalan and Spanish, and not have participated in previous editions. The group aims to ensure diversity through an intersectional perspective, recognizing the variety of trajectories and identities among participants.
