Faranduleo Mini. Julio Verne y el libro de mi abuelo is a theatre show by Rayuela Producciones Teatrales that pays tribute to the work of Julio Verne. It is performed on 31 October 2026 at 12:00 in the auditorium of the Biblioteca de Castilla y León, Plaza de la Trinidad, 2, 47003 Valladolid.
The target group is a child audience, and the event is for a family audience. The event type is theatre, puppets and monologue. The organising body is the Junta de Castilla y León.
Admission is free until capacity is reached. The activity forms part of the Biblioescenas programme, promoted by the Dirección General de Políticas Culturales de la Junta de Castilla y León. In the story, Carlos, at almost 60 years old, discovers that a book by Julio Verne that he inherited from his grandfather works as a real time machine.
When he opens it, he travels with Verne to the past and the future, and also returns to his own childhood, when, at barely ten years old, he discovered the transforming power of stories. The show sets out to activate that imaginary from the autobiographical experience of Carlos Nuevo, actor and theatre creator, whose artistic and personal life is deeply marked by the early reading of "De la Tierra a la Luna", "20.000 leguas de viaje submarino" and "Viaje al centro de la Tierra".
Between real life and imagined life, the work builds a narrative about how books form us, save us and accompany us throughout an existence. Julio Verne y el libro de mi abuelo is a stage journey between memory, imagination and time.
