It approaches a tradition of knowledge about the body and health in whose transmission and systematisation Plinio el Viejo holds a prominent place. A journey through works by medieval women authors explores the transformations of that knowledge, as well as different conceptions of the body and of its links with the soul and the passions.

The speaker is Francisco Javier Bran García (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). It is presented by Óscar Martínez García (Presidente de la junta directiva de la Delegación de Madrid de la SEEC).

The event is free of charge and takes place on Thursday, 3 December 2026 at 18:30 at the Museo de San Isidro. Los Orígenes de Madrid, PLAZA SAN ANDRES, 2, Madrid.
