Proyección y debate de la película Votemos in Madrid

A screening of the film Votemos takes place on Thursday 15 October 2026 at 18 horas at Centro Cultural Lavapiés (Centro), Calle Olivar, 46, Madrid. The screening is followed by a debate. The event is organised by the Comisión de Salud Mental del distrito centro, with the collaboration of the Centro Cultural de Lavapiés.

The film is proposed from the Ciclo de Cine de la Comisión. Votemos presents a story that focuses on the stigma that still surrounds mental health. In a neighbours' meeting, a seemingly simple decision becomes a conflict when it comes to light that a possible new tenant has a mental health diagnosis.

From that moment, prejudices, fears and preconceived ideas come to the surface, testing coexistence and the ability to look at the other beyond a label. Votemos invites reflection on how ignorance and stigma can condition how we relate to people with mental health problems, and on the importance of listening, understanding and leaving prejudices behind. Entry is free and gratuita until capacity is full.

Maximum capacity is 80 people. Tickets are distributed 1 hour before the performance, maximum 4 tickets per person.
