Avoimet kirjoittajatreffit, Kampin palvelukeskus in Helsinki

Avoimet kirjoittajatreffit, Kampin palvelukeskus is a writing workshop held at Kamppi Service Centre in Helsinki on 2 November 2026, 18:00. Participants write, read texts aloud to each other and share encouraging feedback. The workshop offers support and ideas for writing as a hobby and teaches how to turn observations and feelings into mini short stories, poems and narratives.

Writing by hand with paper and pen is encouraged, though writing on your own computer or tablet is allowed. Topics vary: sometimes Japanese haiku poems are written, and sometimes the session steps away from everyday life and smart devices to focus on the movement of the pen. A topic may centre on something physical, such as a branch, a stone or an object.

Participants may bring one short text to read aloud, but the main emphasis is on shared writing exercises. The teacher is FM Teemu Korpijärvi. Entry is free, with no advance registration and no course fee, and the workshop is held in cooperation with Kampin palvelukeskus.
