Wishbone Ash: Road Warriors Tour 2027

Wishbone Ash are a British rock band who found success in the early to mid-1970s. The band is known for extensive use of harmony twin lead guitars. Formed in Torquay, Devon in 1969, Wishbone Ash grew out of the trio The Empty Vessels, which founding member Martin Turner had formed in 1963 and which was joined by Steve Upton in 1966.

Martin Turner and Steve Upton held auditions for a guitarist and ended up with two, Andy Powell and Ted Turner, who completed the original line-up. In 1974 Ted Turner left and was replaced by Laurie Wisefield, and the band continued with critical and commercial success until 1980. The original line-up reunited in 1987 for several albums until 1990, when Upton quit.

After Martin Turner was replaced in 1991, the band recorded The Ash Live in Chicago, and Ted Turner left again in January 1994, leaving Andy Powell as the sole remaining original founding member. The band's debut album, Wishbone Ash, was released in December 1970, followed by Pilgrimage one year later, and the band peaked commercially in 1972 with Argus, their highest placed entry in the UK Albums Chart at number 3.

Wishbone Four followed in 1973, and in December 1973 the band released a double live album, Live Dates. The band is on the Road Warriors Tour 2027.
