Gaillimh Ah-Boo! A Gathering of Souls, Galway

Gaillimh Ah-Boo! A Gathering of Souls is a public event in Galway City, Galway, on 1 November 2026. It sets Irish and Mexican traditions in a respectful cultural conversation rather than presenting one next to the other.

The event draws on the heritage of both Ireland and Mexico and brings together music, symbolism, storytelling, Mexican colour and tradition, and collective remembrance. It celebrates memory, community and the connection to those who came before us.

The Galway City Council Night-Time Economy and Gaillimh Ah-Boo! Programme and the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport support the event financially.
