Ireland's Christmas Traditions Walking Tour takes place on 8 and 9 December 2026 in Dublin, meeting at The Tree of Gold Central Plaza. The walk lasts 2 hours and covers seasonal traditions in Ireland, some going back 5,000 years. Along the way it takes in festive lights, decorated shop windows, public cribs and some modest street markets, and it also covers St Nicholas's Irish connections.
Places seen or passed include Christ Church Cathedral, the Dublin Castle Christmas market, the Christmassy shopping streets and the Live Crib at the Mansion House. The tour ends at The Church, a former historic church that is now a cafe/bar, where a festive drink is two for the price of one. The starting point is the Tree of Gold sculpture at Central Plaza, Dame Street, at the corner with Fownes Street, Dublin 2.
Prices are 27 euros for adults and 22 euros for seniors and students, and children aged 12 to 18 with an accompanying adult pay 15 euros. Children under 12 with an accompanying adult go free. Only small groups are taken.
