Siobhán Collins: Residency & Exhibition is a visual art project at Triskel Arts Centre in Cork, running from 3 December 2026 to 25 January 2027. Siobhán lives in Cork City and works in pencil, charcoal, watercolour and oils. Her residency takes place in Triskel Sample Project Space and is a practice-based investigation of contemporary portraiture.

Over four weeks she plans to make roughly 40 portraits of people from Cork, drawing and painting their faces in public. Sittings are free, and the community is invited to take part. Each study lasts between 15 minutes and 2 hours, so some works will be largely gestural and others more resolved.

Every piece is on A3 paper and displayed so that each portrait gets equal focus. The exhibition ends with an artist talk, where Siobhán speaks with fellow artist and Sample-Studios member Éadaoin Glynn and takes questions from the audience. Triskel Sample Project Space is a new partnership between Triskel and Sample-Studios, giving artists, especially emerging and mid-career ones, a space to test ideas and develop new work for public viewing.
