The Dead South are a folk-bluegrass musical ensemble based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. The band formed in 2012 as a quartet made up of Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Danny Kenyon and Colton Crawford.
Their 2014 album Good Company was released by the German label Devil Duck Records and led to extensive touring in Canada and Europe. The band has released four studio albums: Good Company, Illusion and Doubt, Sugar & Joy and Chains & Stakes.
