Tigercub are an English rock trio formed in 2011 in Brighton. The band is made up of singer and guitarist Jamie Stephen Hall, drummer James Allix and bassist Jimi Wheelwright. Hall and Allix founded the group in 2011 after meeting at a university in Brighton, and Wheelwright joined them in 2012.
Their releases include the EPs Hands (2013), Repressed Semantics (2015) and Evolve or Die (2017), and the studio albums Abstract Figures in the Dark (2016), As Blue as Indigo (2021), The Perfume of Decay (2023) and Nets to Catch the Wind (2026). Records, produced by Alex Newport and mastered by John Greenham.
As Blue as Indigo was written by Hall and co-produced by Hall and Adrian Bushby, who also engineered it; Tom Dalgety mixed the record, which was released on BLAME Recordings. The band have cited influences including Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Led Zeppelin, the Dandy Warhols and Jeff Buckley, and on Nets to Catch the Wind they were inspired by Sisters of Mercy, the Cure, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Killing Joke and the Chameleons.
