2 days in Florence: itinerary with prices (2026)

Two days covers Florence's essentials: one day for the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria and the Uffizi, one for Michelangelo's David and the Oltrarno across the river. Each day below leads with a stops table — entrance fee, time needed and a note — so the plan is visible at a glance.

Quick answer

Florence's center is small enough to cross on foot in about 20 minutes, so neither day needs public transport. Prices are adult admission for 2026 — booking the Uffizi and Accademia online in advance is worth doing, since same-day tickets can mean a long wait in peak season.

Day 1 — The Duomo, Signoria and the Uffizi

Start at the Duomo — the cathedral nave is free, though climbing Brunelleschi's Dome needs the separate €30 Brunelleschi Pass, which also covers the Baptistery, Bell Tower, Crypt and Opera Museum. From there, take a reserved morning slot at the Uffizi before finishing at Palazzo Vecchio and Santa Croce. Day 1 entrance fees come to about €53 without the Dome.

FAQ

Is 2 days enough for Florence?
Yes for the highlights covered here — the Duomo, the Uffizi, the Accademia and the Oltrarno. Add a third day to climb Brunelleschi's Dome or day-trip to Siena or Pisa.
How much are entrance fees in Florence?
The Uffizi is €25 same-day (€29 booked in advance), the Accademia €20, Palazzo Vecchio €18, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens €22, and Santa Croce €10. The Duomo nave, Ponte Vecchio and Piazzale Michelangelo are all free.
Do you need to book the Uffizi and Accademia in advance?
It's strongly worth it for both, and close to essential for the Uffizi in peak season — the same-day €25 ticket can mean a long queue, while the €29 advance ticket guarantees a time slot. The Accademia's reservation is recommended rather than mandatory, but walk-in waits get long without one.
How much does it cost to climb the Duomo's dome?
The dome climb isn't sold on its own — it's part of the €30 Brunelleschi Pass, which also covers the Baptistery, Bell Tower, Crypt and Opera Museum and is valid for 3 days.
