New year, new plans

January tends to be a quieter month on the events calendar — the December rush has passed, and many venues ease back in with smaller, cosier programming while the year gets going.

Catch an intimate gig, comedy night or theatre show indoors
Book ahead now for spring and summer festivals before they sell out
Look for New Year concerts and early film-festival premieres
