Light art appears in Eindhoven and also in Oirschot, Veldhoven, Helmond and Lieshout, among the municipalities in the region. GLOW has been held in Eindhoven every year since 2006 and lasts eight days each November.
In Eindhoven the artworks can be viewed from 18:30 to 23:00; in Helmond, Oirschot, Veldhoven and Lieshout the hours are 18:30 to 22:00. Entry is free. The works in Eindhoven are linked by a walking route of about 5 km through the city centre, passing roughly 30 light artworks made by national and international artists. In 2026 the route passes, among other places, 18 Septemberplein, Victoriapark, Emmasingel, Stadhuisplein, Catharinakerk, Smalle Haven and the Markt.
On 18 Septemberplein the collective BOBOLITO&Co presents MACHINA, built from a thousand portraits: submitted selfies are turned into line drawings, cut from plexiglass and gathered into one collective light artwork above the square. On Stadhuisplein the collective Nohlab realises a large-scale installation of 13,5 metres, and in the Catharinakerk and at several locations in the region the children's project Fabellicht by Hugo Vrijdag comes to life, with children from Eindhoven and the surrounding municipalities shaping their stories in light.
The festival also returns to the Philips Stadion, for the first time since 2019. There the Eindhoven design studio TWOFIFTYK presents The Breathing Collective, a choreography of drones, light and sound developed for the stadium and lasting about fifteen minutes. It is shown four times each evening from 7 to 14 November, at 18.30, 19.15, 20.00 and 20.45. This is the one part of GLOW that needs a ticket: tickets cost €2 and went on sale on 28 September via gloweindhoven.nl/tickets.
