Froukje albumrelease show at Melkweg, Amsterdam

Froukje, the mononym of Dutch singer-songwriter Froukje Veenstra, plays an albumrelease show at Melkweg in Amsterdam. She composes her own music with the help of a laptop, a guitar or a keyboard, and lyrically she is influenced by Maarten van Roozendaal and Theo Nijland. She is also inspired by Eefje de Visser, Typhoon and Stromae.

Her first song "Groter Dan Ik", a protest song about the climate crisis, was released in early 2020, and later that year her second song "Ik wil dansen" was released. In January 2021 her first EP Licht en donker was released, followed in 2022 by her second EP Uitzinnig. In January 2024 she released her debut album Noodzakelijk verdriet.

Access to the show works entirely via your smartphone: tickets are found in the Ticketmaster app and your online account, and because the barcode constantly updates, a screenshot or photo of the barcode will not work for entry. Tickets can be added to your phone's wallet so you can tap them at the entrance, and anyone passing tickets on or reselling them safely should use the official 'transfer' and 'resale' features in their Ticketmaster account so the recipient receives a valid ticket with a new barcode.
