Read full details

João Mariano's ongoing photographic project *Ocean Spray* brings 17 black-and-white works to Lumina Galeria, capturing the sculptural dimension of the sea along the Costa Vicentina. The images move beyond figurative representation, emphasizing the thickness of water surfaces and the passage of time—a recurring theme in Mariano's long-term practice, such as his earlier series *366*, where he photographed the same landscape daily for a year.

In dialogue with Mariano's work, curator Rute Reimão has invited designer and visual artist Luísa Pacheco to present a selection of pieces for the Le Mur space, dedicated to plastic arts. The exhibition creates a suspended temporal space between diffuse origin and open horizon, where the Vicentine sea becomes not a backdrop but an assimilated substance, accumulating repeated observations of a transforming landscape.

Visitors can explore this continuous process of approaching a territory that is both physical and interior, with the gallery open Wednesday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM and on Saturdays from 3 PM to 8 PM.
