Jorge Romão: Deixem-me Sonhar Exhibition

Jorge Romão's latest exhibition, *Deixem-me Sonhar*, presents a series of recent collages that transform everyday life into fictional spaces. Through cutting, juxtaposition, and displacement, the artist reconfigures figures, objects, and architectures from different imaginaries into fragmented narratives that hover between dream and strangeness.

Classical bodies mingle with contemporary elements, domestic interiors open onto improbable landscapes, and narrative logic gives way to free associations that are at once ironic and unsettling. The works play with kitsch and the sublime, revaluing diverse materials and references into a personal visual language.

Each collage functions as a dream fragment—recognizable yet never fully decipherable, suspended between memory, desire, and invention. Visitors are invited to wander without a fixed destination, exploring a territory where the gaze errs freely across these dreamlike compositions.
