Literatura e Cinema III – Intermedialidades

Literatura e Cinema III – Intermedialidades is a film cycle at Biblioteca Palácio Galveias in Lisbon. The Associação Portuguesa de Escritores presents this new edition, coordinated by Luís Machado. It looks at the relationship between literary creation and the language of film through screenings and analysis of Portuguese cinema. The programme has three films: Sem Sombra de Pecado and Balada da Praia dos Cães, by José Fonseca e Costa, and Francisca, by Manoel de Oliveira. They are film adaptations of works by David Mourão-Ferreira, José Cardoso Pires and Agustina Bessa-Luís, respectively. Balada da Praia dos Cães is shown on 28 October at 18:00, also with commentary by Maria do Rosário Lupi Bello. The event is free.
