Julho na Casa do Jardim da Estrela

Throughout July, the Casa do Jardim da Estrela – a cultural venue run by Lisbon City Council – opens its doors for a month-long programme of performances, workshops, and community activities. Set within the Jardim Guerra Junqueiro, the space is designed to foster a more sustainable, inclusive, and participatory society, welcoming artists and locals alike.

Visitors can explore a variety of shows and recreational events, as well as the on-site library and a unique xiloteca – a curated collection of wood samples with scientific and educational value. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-friendly, with the garden providing a leafy backdrop for cultural discovery.

This initiative is part of the "Um Teatro em Cada Bairro" network, bringing theatre and arts directly into Lisbon neighbourhoods. Whether you're a long-time resident or a curious traveller, it's a chance to experience local creativity in an intimate, green setting.
