Dark Star Orchestra in San Diego

Dark Star Orchestra brings the Grateful Dead experience to life, recreating iconic concerts from the band's extensive history. The group meticulously reproduces original set lists, song by song, while adapting their performance style to match the era of the show being honored.

The musicians use period-appropriate equipment and arrangements to transport fans back to a specific Dead concert. Over the years, original Grateful Dead members have occasionally sat in with the tribute band, adding a layer of authenticity.

Since forming in Chicago in 1997, Dark Star Orchestra has performed over 3,200 shows across the US and internationally. Original Grateful Dead members have joined them on stage, including Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and Bill Kreutzmann.
