Every Monday, the historic Nick in Birmingham transforms into a vibrant open-mic stage, welcoming musicians, comedians, and performers of all stripes. This long-running weekly event, Birmingham Bandstand, offers a laid-back, supportive atmosphere where anyone can step up to the mic.

Hosted by Dr. D and sound-engineer Josh Moehr, the night features a full backline provided—drums, amps, and guitars—so performers can just show up and play. The venue is a private club, requiring a membership card and valid ID for entry, but the vibe remains inclusive and artist-friendly.
