Davy Knowles Live in Columbus

The Manx blues guitarist and singer Davy Knowles brings his solo show to Columbus. Knowles first made his name fronting Back Door Slam, playing lead guitar and singing on the band's debut Roll Away, and has since released solo albums including The Outsider, Three Miles From Avalon, and What Happens Next.

His set draws on the blues musicians he grew up with — Rory Gallagher, Dire Straits, Peter Green, and Cream — and carries a Celtic influence shaped by growing up in the Isle of Man. Knowles has toured the US regularly, opening for Jeff Beck and sharing bills with Joe Satriani and Chickenfoot; he is now based in Chicago, and this show is part of his ongoing touring.
