DOWN: Strap It DOWN Tour '26

DOWN is the New Orleans-rooted metal supergroup fronted by Pantera vocalist Phil Anselmo, joined by Corrosion of Conformity guitarist Pepper Keenan, Crowbar's Kirk Windstein, and Eyehategod's Jimmy Bower and Pat Bruders. The band's 2026 Strap It Down tour kicked off August 15 in Atlanta and runs through early September, marking the group's first headline run in years and arriving alongside reports of new studio material—their first full-length since 2007's Down III: Over the Under. Cleveland's stop on August 19, 2026 features direct support from Helmet, the influential alternative-metal band led by Page Hamilton since 1989, whose 1992 album Meantime helped define the genre's early-'90s sound and has been cited as an influence by bands including Deftones and Korn. Also on the bill is Spirit in the Room. It's a heavyweight sludge-and-alt-metal pairing: DOWN's Southern-fried doom sensibility alongside Helmet's angular, dropped-tuning riffing, giving Cleveland metal fans a rare chance to see two genuinely influential bands from different corners of heavy music on the same stage.
