Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies 2026

The 2026 Grateful Dead Meet-Up at the Movies brings an iconic concert back to the big screen, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the band's June 17, 1991 performance at Giants Stadium. This annual tradition invites Dead Heads to experience the complete show, which launches with a high-energy "Eyes of the World" and seamlessly blends beloved classics like "Truckin'" and "Uncle John's Band" with rarities such as "Saint of Circumstance" and "China Doll." A highlight of the night is the continuous teases of "Dark Star" that edge in and out before finally exploding into the full song, capped off with a cover of The Band's "The Weight."

The concert is considered one of the greatest from the band's final decade of performing, captured on a rare 48-track tape. The screening features a masterful surround sound mix by Jeffrey Norman and multi-camera visuals, along with a special appearance by both Bruce Hornsby and Vince Welnick. As a bonus, attendees will see an exclusive sneak preview of "Shakedown Street" from the upcoming Merriweather 6/30/85 release, plus a special introduction by Grateful Dead Legacy Manager and audio archivist David Lemieux.
