Grayson Brockamp and Seth Finch at Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro

Grayson Brockamp and Seth Finch appear as part of the Happy Hour Concert Series. Brockamp is a bassist, composer and arranger whose repertoire spans Wayne Shorter to Eminem and Geri Allen to Busta Rhymes. He sings traditional New Orleans tunes and delivers spoken-word poems about a feisty chihuahua, and explores the shared threads connecting blues, gospel, hip-hop and other musical traditions.

For this performance he is joined by master pianist Seth Finch, a rising New Orleans pianist originally from Baton Rouge. A standout student under Mike Esneault at Baton Rouge Magnet High, Finch earned spots with the National Youth Orchestra Jazz ensemble, touring Europe and Asia with Sean Jones and Kurt Elling, and his style fuses his classical roots with modern jazz improvisation. Doors are at 4:00 pm and the show runs from 5 to 6 pm.

Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro presents live weekly concerts, and these shows can be seen every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday in person or by streaming on the Snug Harbor Facebook pages. The performance is free with no ticketing, and seating is on a first come-first served basis. The restaurant is open 5pm - 11pm for dinner after the show.
