Improv Acting 1 – Improv Scenework

This seven-week introductory course at Just The Funny in Miami is designed for anyone looking to build improvisational acting skills from the ground up. Over the course of the program, participants learn techniques to improvise scenes and characters for auditions, ad-libbing, or simply to sharpen their acting abilities. The class meets one night each week at the theater on Coral Way, and the experience culminates in a student performance on the final session.

Beyond the stage, the training is framed as a way to boost confidence, public speaking, and comfort in social settings, while also sharpening listening, observation, and decision-making. For working performers, it complements an existing acting skillset. As part of Just The Funny's multi-level curriculum, this beginner track offers a structured, syllabus-driven approach, and every student who completes the course receives a certificate of completion.
