Saosin: American Rock Band Formed in 2003

Saosin is an American rock band that came together in 2003 in Orange County, California. The original lineup was made up of Beau Burchell, Justin Shekoski, Zach Kennedy and Anthony Green. Their first release, the EP Translating the Name, arrived in 2003.

Green left the following year, and Cove Reber took over as vocalist. The band's self-titled debut album came out in 2006 on Capitol Records. A second studio album, In Search of Solid Ground, followed in 2009 on Virgin Records and included re-recorded tracks from their earlier EP, The Grey EP.

Reber's departure in 2010 led to a hiatus. The group reunited in 2013 with all original members apart from Kennedy and started touring again. Their third studio album, Along the Shadow, was released in 2016 through Epitaph Records and marked Green's return.

Saosin's style is often linked to emo and post-hardcore, and the band is recognised for its vocal harmonies and distinctive lead guitar techniques, including delays and natural harmonics. Across the various lineup changes, Burchell has remained the only constant member since the band began.
