Tournament of Kings is a medieval-themed dinner show on the Las Vegas Strip, staged in the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. King Arthur calls eight European kings to a sporting contest celebrating his son Christopher, and guests watch the mounted kings joust and play Capture the Flag as part of a family-oriented production.
The dinner is part of the experience: audience members are served a three-course meal built around Cornish game hen, and utensils are typically not provided. The story takes a dramatic turn when Mordred arrives and kills Arthur, leading to a fiery battle with Christopher, who ultimately defeats Mordred and is crowned king. Expect pyrotechnics, live horses, and a cast that encourages the crowd to cheer for their favorite knight.
A fixture of the Excalibur's medieval theme since the resort's early days, the show was created specifically for the casino by a father-and-son production team. It is an unusually immersive way to spend an evening on the Strip, combining dinner theater, jousting, and spectacle in one sitting.
