94.7 KUMU Presents WAR New Year's Celebration at Blue Note Hawaii. War is an American funk band that rose to fame in the early '70s with hits including "Low Rider" and "Why Can't We Be Friends? ".
Founding member Leroy "Lonnie" Jordan has remained with the group. The band's first single "Spill the Wine" was a hit on Billboard's Hot 100. War's '70s No. 1 albums include The World is a Ghetto (1972), Deliver the Word (1973), and Why Can't We Be Friends (1975).
Tickets are $60-$80. On 12/30 there is a show at 6:30pm with doors at 5pm, and a show at 9pm with doors at 8:30pm. On 12/31 there is a show at 7pm with doors at 5pm, and a show at 10pm with doors at 9pm.
Seating is first come, first served per section, with a $20 minimum per person. A full bar and dinner menu are available. There are no refunds or exchanges.
Tickets will be delivered 48 hours prior to the showtime. When all available bar seats are occupied, the remaining bar area is standing room only. Table seating is all ages; the bar area is 21+.
Tickets purchased directly through the official website or TicketWeb are the only authorized sources. Groups of 6 or more that want to sit together must purchase a group package at [email protected]. Validated parking is available at OUTRIGGER Paradise, with the entrance on Kuhio Ave, at $6 for up to 4 hours of parking.
