Yung Gravy: The Joyrider Tour in Detroit

Yung Gravy, the stage name of American rapper Matthew Raymond Hauri, brings The Joyrider Tour to Detroit. The show is all ages, with general admission standing room only, and doors are scheduled to open to the public at 7 PM. He graduated from Mayo High School in 2014 and earned a marketing degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in December 2017.

He began his music career on SoundCloud and first gained recognition for his 2017 songs "Mr. Clean" and "1 Thot 2 Thot Red Thot Blue Thot", both of which received platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America. His 2022 single "Betty (Get Money)" was his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, at number 30, and also received platinum certification.

His musical style blends trap music with vintage themes often inspired by soul music of the 1950s and 1960s and soul and funk music of the 1960s, '70s and '80s. His song "Gravy Train" samples Maxine Nightingale's 1976 "Right Back Where We Started From", and "Mr.

Clean" samples the 1954 song "Mr. Sandman" by The Chordettes.
