Overview
Blondies and NXL present Hikikomori and Inner City Holdings at Blondies Clapton in London. Hikikomori is an avant-garde duo made up of Tom Wilson (Night Porter) and Dean Valentine Smith (Thisbe the Verse/Various Cruelties). The pair fuse free noise with jagged jazz rhythms. Inner City Holdings are Elodie Chiper and Frederick Fuller (Bones UK, Whales in Cubicles, Night Flowers), who play guitars and synths over drum machines. Their themes are anxiety and opression in an imagined dystopian city.
