Programm 2026/2027 - My Fair Lady

Programm 2026/2027 - My Fair Lady is a musical by Frederick Loewe, staged at Theater der Obergrafschaft in Schüttorf on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at 19:30. It is based on George Bernard Shaw's "Pygmalion". The performance is in concert form, in costume and make-up, with the Kölner Symphoniker (about 20 people), soloists and dancers. The story follows Professor Higgins, a phonetics professor who is convinced that language defines a person. When the ragged street girl Eliza crosses his path, he bets with his colleague Colonel Pickering that he can turn her into a lady within six months. Eliza agrees to the language training. After some early difficulties the experiment seems to work, until love comes into play. The curtain rose 2717 times on Broadway alone. Tickets start from EUR 27, and a discount is available. The organiser is Verkehrs- und Kulturverein Schüttorf e.V.
