Bleech 9:3
Bleech 9:3 are a Dublin-formed alternative rock band comprising vocalist Barry "Baz" Quinlan, guitarist Sam Duffy, bassist James Quinlan and drummer Luke O'Neill, who later relocated to London. The band grew out of the songwriting partnership between Quinlan and Duffy, who met through Alcoholics Anonymous, where Quinlan served as Duffy's sponsor before the two began writing music together during recovery.

Acerca de Bleech 9:3
The band's name derives from an early song Quinlan wrote called "Bleach," to which the pair added a reference to Mark 9:3, the biblical account of Christ's Transfiguration in which his clothing becomes whiter than anyone could bleach them, layering ideas of purification and starting over. Musically the group draws on influences including Radiohead, Nirvana and Deftones alongside contemporaries such as Fontaines D.C., producing raw, densely layered alternative rock.
Their breakthrough single "Ceiling," together with the track "Jacky," built a fast-growing online following from a small handful of releases, and the band has taken supporting slots for artists including Nick Cave, Wunderhorse, Keo and Shame while playing to increasingly large crowds at their own headline shows. In April 2026, Kobalt Music Publishing signed the band, citing its songwriting and potential for international growth.
Bleech 9:3 released their debut self-titled EP in 2026, continuing to build an audience through touring in Ireland and the UK, with the Quinlan-Duffy songwriting partnership remaining the band's creative core as they write new material following the publishing deal.
