Good Charlotte is an American rock band from Waldorf, Maryland, formed in 1995 and fronted by twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden. Their pop-punk sound, described by one critic as combining skate-punk energy with pop melody and goth flourishes, broke through with The Young and the Hopeless (2002), which sold close to five million copies.

Singles "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and "The Anthem" followed, along with later albums The Chronicles of Life and Death (2004) and Youth Authority (2016). The band went on hiatus in 2011 and reunited in 2015.
