Jimmy Eat World
Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in Mesa, Arizona in 1993. The group takes its name from a crayon drawing made by guitarist Tom Linton's younger brother after a sibling argument. Lead singer and guitarist Jim Adkins and drummer Zach Lind have been friends since preschool; bassist Rick Burch joined in 1995, replacing original member Mitch Porter.

Acerca de Jimmy Eat World
The band's commercial breakthrough came with Bleed American (2001), which went platinum and included the hit single "The Middle," a top-five entry on the Billboard Hot 100. Futures (2004) was certified gold, and Chase This Light (2007) reached number five on the Billboard 200. The band has released ten studio albums, including Surviving (2019).
Jimmy Eat World helped define the pop-punk and emo-pop sound of the early 2000s, pairing melodic hooks with introspective lyrics. The band earned MTV Video Music Award and Billboard Music Award nominations for "The Middle" in 2002 and has continued touring and recording into its fourth decade, marking Bleed American's 25th anniversary with North American and European tour dates.
