Her sound blends indie rock, hip-hop and dance influences within an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek pop style, exploring themes of vulnerability in relationships and substance-abuse struggles; she has cited Frank Ocean, Tove Lo and the Weeknd as influences. She broke through in 2021 with the single "FMRN," which went viral on TikTok and led to her signing with Warner Records.

Lilyisthatyou released her debut EP, The Character, in 2022, followed by Pop Music (2023), Painful Euphoria (2024), Lilith (2025) and Dirt on My Hands (2026). Other notable tracks include "Superstar," "Another One Down" and "Sick Puppy." She continues to tour behind her expanding catalog, including a run of European and North American dates billed as The Flowers Have Feelings Tour.
