Melanie C, born Melanie Jayne Chisholm on January 12, 1974, in Whiston, Lancashire, England, rose to fame in the mid-1990s as a member of the Spice Girls, where she was known as "Sporty Spice." The group became the best-selling female group in history, with more than 100 million records sold worldwide, before going on indefinite hiatus in 2000 and later reuniting for tours in 2007–2008 and 2019.

Acerca de Melanie C
Chisholm's debut solo album, Northern Star (1999), sold four million copies worldwide and produced two UK number-one singles. She has since released a further string of solo albums, including Reason (2003), Beautiful Intentions (2005), This Time (2007), The Sea (2011), Stages (2012), Version of Me (2016), and Melanie C (2020), most recently followed by Sweat (2026), her highest-charting solo album on the UK chart.
Across her career she has won five Brit Awards, three World Music Awards, three American Music Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, with more than 130 million records sold in total. Beyond recording, she has appeared in stage productions and television judging roles and performs as a DJ.
