The New York Mets are a Major League Baseball team based in the New York City borough of Queens, established in 1962 as a National League expansion team to replace the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants, both of which had relocated to California in 1957.

Acerca de New York Mets
The Mets have won two World Series championships, in 1969 and 1986, and five National League pennants. The 1969 team, built around pitchers Tom Seaver and Nolan Ryan, became known as the 'Miracle Mets' after winning the title in just their eighth season.
The team played at the Polo Grounds and Shea Stadium before moving to its current home, Citi Field, in 2009.
