Paolo Crepet
Paolo Crepet is an Italian psychiatrist, sociologist and essayist born in Turin in 1951. Trained in medicine, sociology and psychiatry across Italian universities, he worked in psychiatric care in Arezzo before spending years abroad in India, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and the Czech Republic, and later taught at universities in Toronto, Rio de Janeiro and Harvard. He has since become a prominent Italian public intellectual, appearing widely on television and in live public talks.

Acerca de Paolo Crepet
Author of more than forty books of essays and fiction, Crepet has focused much of his writing on youth psychology, education and social change, with titles including Non siamo capaci di ascoltarli and L'autorità perduta. He served as jury president for the Premio Campiello literary prize in 2013 and received a lifetime achievement award from the Premio Letterario La Torre in 2015. His stage appearances typically take the form of extended talks on family, adolescence and contemporary society.
