RIO KOSTA
Rio Kosta is a duo comprising multi-instrumentalists and songwriters Mike Del Rio and Kosta Galanopoulos. The pair met in late 2019 after Del Rio saw Galanopoulos perform at a festival, though their collaboration was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic before they began writing and recording together.

Acerca de RIO KOSTA
Drawing on Greek, Bahamian, Spanish, Italian, and Puerto Rican heritage between them, Rio Kosta fuses soul, funk, and world-music influences into a sound spanning psychedelic soul, lo-fi soul, and indie pop. Their debut album, Unicorn, includes the track "Ancients," which samples a 1970s cassette recording of Galanopoulos's father's Greek folk band, and was recorded at the historic Los Angeles studio Hotel Havana.
The duo have performed in varying configurations, from an intimate two-person setup touring Europe to a six-piece band that opened for Hot Chip at the Hollywood Palladium. Represented by TBA Agency across North and South America, Rio Kosta continue to tour internationally behind their groove-driven, harmony-rich live show.
