The Royston Club
The Royston Club is a Welsh indie rock band from Wrexham formed by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Tom Faithfull, lead guitarist Ben Matthias, and bassist Dave Tute, who began playing cover songs together while at secondary school around 2017. After Matthias started writing original material, the trio recruited drummer Sam Jones in late 2018, and the band began performing at an open mic night at the local pub Saith Seren, where early response helped build their confidence as a live act.

Acerca de The Royston Club
The band's name comes from an old social club Matthias spotted while visiting his grandparents in the nearby village of Acrefair. The Royston Club released its debut single, "Shawshank," in March 2019, followed by a run of early singles that established its sound.
Its debut album, Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars, arrived in 2023 and reached number 16 on the UK Albums Chart and number 8 in Scotland. The follow-up, Songs for the Spine, released in 2025, improved on that performance, charting at number 4 in the UK and number 1 in Scotland.
