Big Band Battle at Scala Theater Ludwigsburg, 29 November 2026

Porsche Big Band + Wüstenrot & Württembergische Campus Big Band - Big Band Battle zu Gunsten der LKZ-Aktion "Helferherz" takes place at Scala Theater Ludwigsburg in Ludwigsburg on Sunday, 29 November 2026, 17:00. Tickets start at EUR 22. The Porsche Big Band was founded in 2005, and drummer Meinhard "Obi" Jenne has led it since then.

Its programme, put together specially for Ludwigsburg, covers 100 years of jazz history, from early swing to Count Basie and Sammy Nestico. The band currently has 31 instrumentalists and, since 2023, a singer. Its members come from different areas of Porsche and rehearse only in their free time.

The Campus Big Band of Wüstenrot & Württembergische has existed since 2018. It has more than 25 musicians from all areas and levels of the group, who rehearse at the W&W-Campus in Kornwestheim. Jürgen Bothner conducts the ensemble.

Its repertoire runs from swing classics to present-day Latin & Soul hits. Scala Theater Ludwigsburg is at Stuttgarter Str. 2, 71638 Ludwigsburg, and has around 500 seats.
