Zion Train Live in Kendal

Zion Train, the pioneering British dub ensemble formed in Oxford in 1988, bring their signature blend of reggae and dance music to Kendal. Known for fusing dub with acid house on tracks like "Follow Like Wolves," the band has been a consistent force in the UK music scene since the early 1990s.

Attendees can expect a live performance from the current lineup, which includes founder Neil Perch on electronics and production, alongside vocalist Johnno "Dubdadda" and a brass section featuring Dave Hake on trumpet and Bigga on trombone. The set will draw from a deep catalog spanning albums from *A Passage to Indica* to *Dissident Sound*.

This is a rare chance to experience a group that has influenced minimal dub and techno genres, and whose 2007 album *Live As One* won the Jamaican Reggae Grammy for Best Dub Recording. A night of deep bass and conscious lyrics awaits.
