Step into the Emerald City at Sphere Las Vegas, where the beloved 1939 film The Wizard of Oz has been reimagined as a 4D immersive experience. The venue's massive 160,000-square-foot screen displays the movie at 16K resolution, with visuals expanded using AI-generated imagery and the original score re-recorded by an 80-piece orchestra. As you watch, you'll feel wind and fog during the tornado, see butterflies flutter by, and even have snow fall on you when Glinda lifts the poppy spell.
Before the show, the atrium is transformed into sepia-toned Kansas, complete with replicas of Professor Marvel's cart and the Wizard's hot air balloon, plus displays of original Oz books and ruby slippers. After the film, the atrium shifts to Technicolor Emerald City, where you can interact with a life-sized replica of the Wizard's throne room. This is the third film in the Sphere Experience, following Postcard from Earth and V-U2, and offers a unique way to revisit a classic story.
