À propos de Mia X

In 1995, Mia X signed with Master P's No Limit Records, becoming the first female rapper on the label's roster. She released three studio albums through No Limit: Good Girl Gone Bad (1995), Unlady Like (1997), which was certified gold and peaked at number 21 on the Billboard 200, and Mama Drama (1998), which reached number seven on the same chart.

She contributed to several of No Limit's biggest crossover moments, including a featured verse on Master P's platinum single Make 'Em Say Uhh! (1998) and her own charting single What'cha Wanna Do?, featuring Charlie Wilson, which reached the Billboard Hot 100. She also appeared in the films I'm Bout It (1997) and I Got the Hook Up (1998), and is often credited as the Mother of Southern Rap for her role in the label's rise.

Mia X stepped away from recording between 1999 and 2008 following a period of personal loss, returning with new music later that decade and again between 2014 and 2015 under her own Mama Mia Muzik imprint.
