Taking Back Sunday
Taking Back Sunday is an American rock band formed in November 1999 in Amityville, New York, by guitarist Eddie Reyes and bassist Jesse Lacey. The band emerged from the Long Island hardcore and emo scene and became one of the most visible acts of the early-2000s emo movement, though frontman Adam Lazzara has resisted that label.

À propos de Taking Back Sunday
The current lineup is led by Lazzara on vocals alongside guitarist and co-vocalist John Nolan and bassist Shaun Cooper, both of whom rejoined the band after early departures. Their music blends emo, post-hardcore, pop-punk, and alternative rock, built around dual vocal interplay and confessional lyrics.
The band's 2002 debut, Tell All Your Friends, became a touchstone of the genre, followed by Where You Want to Be (2004) and Louder Now (2006), which reached number two on the Billboard 200 and sold more than 900,000 copies on the strength of the single "MakeDamnSure." Later albums include Happiness Is (2014) and 152 (2023).
Taking Back Sunday has continued to tour and record for more than two decades and was ranked 38th on Consequence's list of the 100 best pop-punk bands in 2019.
