The Little Angels
Little Angels are an English hard rock band formed in Scarborough in 1984 by singer Toby Jepson and bassist Mark Plunkett, who had played together in an earlier school band. They recruited brothers Bruce John Dickinson on guitar and Jimmy Dickinson on keyboards, performing initially under other names before settling on Little Angels in 1987.

À propos de The Little Angels
Signed to Polydor Records in 1988, the band released its debut album, Don't Prey for Me, in 1989, followed by Young Gods in 1991, whose singles 'Boneyard' and 'I Ain't Gonna Cry' reached the UK charts. Working with songwriter Jim Vallance on that record helped establish them as one of Britain's most commercially successful home-grown hard rock acts of the era. Their third album, Jam, reached number one on the UK Albums Chart in 1993.
Distinguished among British hard rock bands by an accompanying horn section, Little Angels built a large domestic following through constant live performance, appearing alongside major international rock acts. Drummer Michael Lee, who had replaced original drummer Dave Hopper in 1988, was in turn replaced by Mark Richardson during the Young Gods era.
The band split in 1994 after a farewell run of shows, then reunited in 2012 for a run of UK dates and festival appearances before disbanding again following a 2013 performance. Little Angels reconvened once more in 2026 and remain an active touring act.
