À propos de The Pineapple Thief
In 2003, Soord expanded the project into a full band, adding "The" to the name to distinguish it from the fellow English progressive act Porcupine Tree. The current lineup features Soord (vocals, guitars, keyboards), Jon Sykes (bass), Steve Kitch (keyboards) and drummer Gavin Harrison, formerly of King Crimson and Porcupine Tree, who joined in 2017.
Signed to Kscope since 2007, the band's music has been featured in MTV's The Hills. Across sixteen studio albums, including 10 Stories Down (2005), Someone Here Is Missing (2010), Your Wilderness (2016), Dissolution (2018), Versions of the Truth (2020) and It Leads to This (2024), their sound layers atmospheric guitar work and intricate rhythms with Soord's introspective songwriting.
The band continues to tour and record within the broader progressive rock tradition, building on a catalogue that spans a quarter century.
