Oostende
Ostend is the largest resort on the Belgian coast, with a long sandy beach, a working fishing harbour and a seafront promenade lined by the Kursaal casino and Royal Galleries. Rebuilt largely after heavy WWII bombing, it now mixes beach tourism with museums devoted to painters James Ensor and Leon Spilliaert.
